1st Amendment Songs
This week in Civics&Economics we will be discussing the Bill of Rights. The first 10 amendments are all about OUR RIGHTS. Without them, our lives would most likely look very different than they do now. In an effort to prove to you that 1st Amendment rights are awesome and relevant, I would like you to find a song (old or new...it's up to you!) that discusses one of the first ten amendments (#1 is probably your best bet) in some way. If you know of a song, post it to the blog and maybe we can listen to it during class.

ReplyDeleteThe song i chose was 21 guns by Green Day. It talks more about putting down your weapons but it still relates to the right to bear arms.

ReplyDeleteThis song has to do with Malcom, MLKJ, and all the other civil rights leaders that were "neutralized", which in turn has to do with the rights to assemble, petition, and say what you want even if it is strongly opposed.
